How To Use Allerpid Tablet 14s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Allerpid Tablet 14s. Taking Allerpid Tablet 14s with alcohol may also increase the risk of developing CNS depression No known side effects when used along with alcohol consumption.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Allerpid Tablet 14s should be safe as animals study showed no teratogenicity and fetal malformation recorded. Data of over 1000 women studied also showed no any negative effects on the fetal development.Allerpid Tablet 14s may be unsafe to be used during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse reactions on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may outweigh the risk. Please consult your doctor before consuming it.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Allerpid Tablet 14s is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Allerpid Tablet 14s is excreted into human breast milk hence should be avoided during lactation. Allerpid Tablet 14s can pass into breast milk. Hence, caution should be exercised when prescribing Allerpid Tablet 14s to breastfeeding mothers.

Whats the difference between Allerpid Tablet 14s and other antihistamines?

There are two types of antihistamines. The drowsy and the non drowsy antihistamines. The drowsy antihistamines are Diphenhydramine, Promethazine, Chlorpheniramine. Wherelse the non drowsy antihistamines are Cetirizine, Fexofenadine and the rest. Most people prefer taking the non drowsy antihistamine as it does not disturb their everyday activities. You may choose the drowsy antihistamine if you are having difficulty sleeping or if the symptoms like coughing or itching disrupts your sleep.
