Introduction of Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip)

To prevent frequent urination at night, Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet should only be used during the day. You must take this drug in the dosage and for the length of time prescribed by your doctor, and you must never stop using it suddenly without first visiting your doctor. Although most individuals with high blood pressure do not feel unwell, your condition may worsen if you stop taking this medication.

How To Use Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip)

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

It is not advisable to consume alcohol with Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip). Taking Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) with alcohol may enhance the orthostatic effect of Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip).

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)

Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have failed to show adverse effects on the fetus. However, there are limited well-controlled human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) must be used with caution during lactation as it is excreted in human milk. Limited human data suggests that Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may cause side effects such as dizziness, tiredness or palpitations, all of which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Warning (High Risk)

Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) must be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be needed. It is contraindicated in patients with anuria. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment. Dose adjustment of Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be needed in patients with other liver diseases. Please consult your doctor.

Is it safe to take Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) when I am ill?

If you find yourself to be ill with a fever (a high temperature above 38 degree celcius), with sweats, vomitting or have severe diarrhoea, contact your doctor as you may need to stop taking Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) until you are better. You can resume taking Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) when you are eating and drinking normally. If you take Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip) when you are ill, it may cause dehydration and it can worsen your condition.

What should I avoid when taking Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip)?

If you are taking Apo-Indapamide 2.5mg Tablet 10s (strip), it is important not to consume too much salt in your food because this can stop your medication from working as well as it should. It is advised not to consume salt substitutes as they contain a high amount of potassium which can interfere with certain medications and cause side effects. Some medications can cause you to lose potassium. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you should take food or supplements high in potassium unless you are on medication that retain potassium then you would not need extra potassium.
