Comtan 200mg Tablet may be taken with or without meals, although it is best taken before sleep. But be sure to take it at the same time every day since doing so helps to keep a constant amount of medication in the body. Take this medication in the amount and for the time recommended by your doctor. If you have forgotten to take a dosage, take it as soon as you remember to do so. It is critical that you do not stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor, since doing so may aggravate your condition. Because it has the potential to develop melanoma, your doctor may recommend that you have regular skin examinations. Nausea, vomiting, tiredness, disorientation, constipation, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), nightmares, and increased perspiration are some of the typical adverse effects of this medication. It may also induce dizziness and drowsiness, so avoid driving or doing other tasks that demand mental concentration until you have determined how this medication affects you. It is normal to have diarrhoea when taking this medication, so drink lots of fluids and keep an eye out for any weight loss. You should see your doctor if you have any odd changes in your mood, an unusually strong sex desire, or hallucinations. When you have this condition, your urine may become brownish-orange in colour, but this is not dangerous and generally goes away after the therapy is finished. This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may outweigh the risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s is excreted into the breastmilk during animal studies. However, its effect on feeding infants is largely unknown. Hence, Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s may cause side effects such as dizziness and somnolence all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Do not drive unless you're feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)

The excretion of Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s is not affected in patients with kidney disease unless they are on dialysis. Dose adjustment is not indicated in patients with kidney disease without dialysis. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s may be needed. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Comtan 200mg Tablet 100s might cause darker discolouration (red, brown, or black) of your saliva, urine and sweat. This is harmless, however your clothing and bedsheet may become stained.
