A few causes of dryness of vagina are menopause, childbirth, and breast-feeding, anti-estrogenic drugs and Sjogren's syndrome. The dryness of the vagina usually will be accompanied by few associating symptoms such as vaginal itching, burning, and irritation. The dryness of the vagina increases the risk of infection to occur. This condition can affect a female psychologically as it can cause severe pain and discomfort during sexual intercourse.
