Overview

Follicular lymphoma is a condition where it is a slow-growing form of non- Hodgkin lymphoma which originates from the B-lymphocytes causing B-cell lymphoma. This type of lymphoma accounts 20-30% of all non-Hodgkin lymphoma cases

Signs and Symptoms

Painless swelling of the lymph nodes in your neck/groin/stomach/armpits, Shortness of breath, Fatigue, Night sweats, Weight loss

Common Causes

A weakened immune system, Auto-immune disease

Risk Factors

Previous cancer, Having a close relative with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Older age, Female

Investigation Techniques

Biopsy, Blood tests, X-rays, PET scans, Bone marrow samples.

Treatment and Prevention

Steroid therapy, Monoclonal antibodies, Stem cell treatment, Rituximab, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy
