Dostinex 500mcg Tablet must be taken with meals, but it should be taken at the same time every day to receive the greatest benefit. It should be regarded as medical advice. The dosage and frequency with which you take it are determined by the condition for which you are taking it. Your doctor will determine how much medication you will need to alleviate your symptoms. Take the pills whole, along with a glass of water. You should continue to take this medication for as long as it has been recommended to you. Nausea, headache, dizziness, and hypotension are the most frequent adverse effects of this medication. If any of these annoy you or seem to be severe, consult your doctor. There may be methods to reduce or prevent them from occurring. To prevent feeling dizzy when driving or rising slowly from a seated or laying posture, avoid doing so. Inform your doctor if you have ever had hypertension after delivery or if you have ever had heart problems before using this medication. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or nursing a child. Your doctor should also be aware of any other medications you are taking, since many of them may interfere with the effectiveness of this medication or alter the way it functions. Alcohol Warning (Safe)

A small amount of alcohol doesn't appear to reduce the safety or function of Dostinex 0.5mg Tablet 2s. However, it is not advised to take alcohol if you are feeling drowsy or dizzy after taking this medication as alcohol may exacerbate these effects.

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)

Dostinex 0.5mg Tablet 2s does not appear to be teratogenic in animal studies, however, it has shown to exhibit maternal toxic properties. There were no adequate studies in humans but research done so far shown it may affect fertility and may cause congenital abnormality. Uses of this medication during pregnancy should be avoided unless if clearly indicated and the risk and benefit have been thoroughly evaluated.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

Study in animals shows that Dostinex 0.5mg Tablet 2s is excreted in breastmilk. As there was no data of the same in humans, a mother is not advised to breast-feed while taking this medication as this medication inhibits lactation. However, lactating mothers with hyperprolactinemia who wish to breastfeed should not be treated with this medication.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

As this medication could impair a person's concentration. Actions that require fast and accurate reactions such as driving and operating machines should be done with caution especially if you are not feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

Long term uses of Dostinex 0.5mg Tablet 2s may cause fibrotic disorders which may involve kidney. Investigate any loin pain which may suggest renal insufficiency due to ureteral or abdominal obstruction.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Dose adjustment for Dostinex 0.5mg Tablet 2s may be needed for a patient with liver insufficiency. Higher plasma concentration has been noted in patient with severe hepatic insufficiency who receive this medication.

While taking Dostinex 500mcg Tablet, rise carefully if you have been sitting or laying down to reduce the risk of feeling dizzy or passing out.
Do not take Dostinex 500mcg Tablet if you are breastfeeding. Take this medication with or after meals to stomach discomfort.
