Alcohol Warning(Not Advisable)
It is not advisable to drink alcohol with Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster because the alcohol may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding caused by Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster.
There is an increased risk of miscarriage, cardiac malformation, and gastroschisis following usage of prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor during early pregnancy. Animal studies have demonstrated that there is an adverse risk to the fetus and there are inadequate human studies, though potential benefits may allow the usage of Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster in pregnant women. Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster should be avoided during the first and second trimester of pregnancy unless it is deemed necessary, with the lowest dose possible and the shortest duration of treatment. It is contraindicated during the third trimester.
Breastfeeding Warning(Limited Data)
Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster is excreted in human breast milk in a very small amount thus it is not recommended to be used during breastfeeding.
Driving Warning (Safe)
Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning(Use With Care)
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster may cause a dose-dependent reduction in the formation of prostaglandin and this will precipitate renal failure. The risk of renal failure is increased in patients with underlying impaired renal function and thus, their renal function should be monitored closely.
Liver Warning(Limited information)
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster may cause elevation of liver function test. In those with hepatic impairment, dose adjustment may be needed as Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster is extensively metabolised by the liver.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

If you forgot to use one dose of your medication, please use it as soon as you realize it. But if the time to use the next dose is near then just ignore the dose that you forgot. In such situation, avoid using the dose twice from what is advised.

Mechanism of Action
Acustop Cataplasma 40mg Plaster inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandin by decreasing cyclooxygenase activity which then causes a reduction in prostaglandin levels. It is also a strong inhibitor of platelet aggregation.
