How To Use Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)

Both animal studies and human studies are insufficient to show adverse effects on the fetus. Pregnant women may use it if the benefits outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s is excreted in human milk. It also reduces milk production due to it diuresis effect.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

The usage of Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s may impair general attention and affect the ability to drive as it can cause side effects such as dizziness, somnolence and palpitations.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

Dose adjustment is required in patients with kidney disease. In patients with severe renal function, use is not recommended. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s should be used with caution in patients with liver disease as it may precipitate hepatic coma.

Quick Tips

Take it in the morning preferably with breakfast for better results. Avoid activities that requires attention such as driving until you know how it affects you. Drinking alcohol while taking it may lead to dizziness. The sodium level may suddenly decrease. If you are using this medicine, keep a low salt diet. If your blood pressure does not decrease after you starting it, contact your doctor. Report dizziness, fatigue, or muscular weakness that doesn't improve. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, pregnant, or intending to have a baby or if you are nursing.

If you find yourself to be ill with a fever (a high temperature above 38 degree celcius), with sweats, vomitting or have severe diarrhoea, contact your doctor as you may need to stop taking Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s until you are better. You can resume taking Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s when you are eating and drinking normally. If you take Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s when you are ill, it may cause dehydration and it can worsen your condition.

What should I avoid when taking Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s?

If you are taking Apo-Hydro 50mg Tablet 30s, it is important not to consume too much salt in your food because this can stop your medication from working as well as it should. It is advised not to consume salt substitutes as they contain a high amount of potassium which can interfere with certain medications and cause side effects. Some medications can cause you to lose potassium. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you should take food or supplements high in potassium unless you are on medication that retain potassium then you would not need extra potassium.
