How To Use Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Anorexia, Hallucinations and confusion, Dizziness, fatigue, Dyskinesia, Palpitation, Orthostatic hypotension, Nausea and vomiting, Depression and very rarely with suicide, Sleeping difficulty
Nausea and vomiting, Palpitations, Depression, Hallucinations, Involuntary movements, GI bleeding
Warning Precautions
Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s as it may cause side effects such as dizziness, orthostatic hypotension, palpitations and fatigue.It is not advised to consume alcohol with Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s. Taking Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s with alcohol may worsen the side effects such as nausea, vomiting, hallucinations and palpitations.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s may be unsafe to take during pregnancy as the animal studies have shown repeated toxicity on the fetus. However, there is insufficient data on the adverse effect of fetus based on human studies. The use may be permissible when its risks outweigh the benefits. Please consult your doctor.Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable even with the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s is probably safe to use during lactation. It is present in human milk and proven to reduce prolactin production. Hence, it is not recommended to be used in lactating women. Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s is excreted in breast milk. Limited human data suggests that Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s does not cause significant risk to the baby but may affect the production of breastmilk
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
It is common to experience dizziness, fatigue, and sleepiness when taking Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s. Therefore, it is not advisable to drive as it may affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s may cause side effects such as nausea or hallucinations, all of which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose titration may be needed. Therefore, please consult your doctor.Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. It may increase the serum creatinine phosphokinase levels and leads to acute renal failure. Dose adjustment of Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s should not be used in patients with severe liver disease. Dose titration is required in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s should be used with caution in patients with liver disease because it may increase your liver enzyme levels. Dose adjustment of Apo-Levocarb 100/25mg Tablet 100s may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
