Side Effects
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Despite reports of haematological reactions such as thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, and agranulocytosis, adverse effects of paracetamol are uncommon and typically mild. It does occasionally happen to experience skin rashes or other hypersensitive reactions. There have been reports of skin rashes, angioedema, and Stevens Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis due to cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions.
• Patients taking other potentially hepatotoxic medications or medications that stimulate the production of liver microsomal enzymes may be at increased risk of paracetamol toxicity. • Drugs like metoclopramide may speed up the absorption of paracetamol.
Warning Precautions
• Do not take more than the prescribed dose. • Do not take this medication with any other products containing paracetamol. • Stop taking this medication and seek medical help immediately if you experience any side effects.
