How To Use Benzac AC 5% Gel 15g

Wash and dry hands prior to applying the gel. Follow these steps unless otherwise suggested by physician or pharmacist.

Wash the affected area with a mild skin cleanser and water, then pat skin dry.
Apply a thin film of product to the affected area only, once a day, leaving on the skin for 2 hours then washing it off with water
Apply a light moisturiser that does not clog pores.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Can cause side effects as below.

Significant: Increased sensitivity to sunlight, skin peeling, redness, swelling, or dryness; mild burning sensation.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Allergic contact dermatitis.
Potentially Fatal: Rarely, allergic reactions, severe irritation.
Severe skin irritation indicates overdosage.

Drug/Food Interactions

Reduces tretinoin, isotretinoin, and tazarotene efficacy. Use with sulfonamide or sulfone-containing products may cause transient skin and facial hair discoloration (yellow/orange).

Warning Precautions

Careful application to the neck and other sensitive areas. Concomitant use with other topical acne therapy under supervision of doctors. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. May bleach coloured fabrics
