Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet may be given on its alone or in combination with other medications. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and frequency of administration for you in order to ensure that you get the proper quantity of medication to address your illness. Your doctor may change the dosage based on how you react to the medication and how your blood pressure levels are responding as well. Even though it is possible to take it at any time of day, with or without meals, it is recommended that you take it at the same time each day. Take this medication as soon as you take it out of the package and swallow it. It is light sensitive and may not function correctly if it is kept out of the pack for an extended period of time. Continue to take it for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Even if you are feeling well, do not discontinue taking this medication on your own. It is possible that your illness may worsen if you stop taking it. Maintaining an active lifestyle via regular exercise, losing weight, and eating a nutritious food can all aid in the management of your blood pressure. While using this medication, be sure to follow your doctor's instructions. Fatigue, edoema (swelling), dizziness, irregular heartbeat (palpitations), flushing, constipation, and headache are some of the most frequent adverse effects of this medication. If any of these symptoms concern you or do not go away after a few days, see your doctor. Please inform your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or renal issues before to using this medication. This medication should not be used by women who are pregnant or nursing, and they should contact their doctor before doing so. You must also inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking, particularly those used to treat high blood pressure or heart problems. Excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking this medication since it may cause your blood pressure to drop substantially causing you to feel dizzy or light-headed. How To Use Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip)
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Alcohol will inhibit the metabolism of Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip), which will further accentuate the side effects of Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip).
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip) should not be used during pregnancy unless clinical condition requires its usage urgently.
Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)
Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip) is not safe for breastfeeding as it may be excreted in breast milk. It is only proven in animal studies and it shows impairment in the development of baby animals. This risk cannot be excluded in humans thus it isn't safe
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip) may cause side effects such as headache, vertigo or visual disturbances especially at the start of treatment, all of which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip) is safe to be used in patients with kidney disease.
Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip) should be used with caution in patients with liver disorder. Dose adjustment of Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Take Calcigard Retard 20mg Tablet at the same time every day to help you to remember to take it.
Use of this medication may cause a rapid decrease in your condition. Rise carefully, If you've been sitting or laying down, to avoid dizziness or fainting.
Since it causes ankle or foot edoema, raise your legs when sitting to minimise edoema. See your doctor if it doesn't improve.
It may make you dizzy. Do not use this medication while doing any activity that requires mental focus such as driving until you know how it affects you.
