How To Use Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Take this drug at the dosage and time prescribed by your doctor. Swallow it down as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it down. Certican 0.25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is best taken at a fixed time.

The main side effects of this medication are fatigue, inflammation of the sinus, infection, fever, cough, etc. If any of the side effects continue or concern you, contact your doctor immediately. Inform the doctor immediately if you have any allergic reactions (rash, shortness of breath, coughing, swelling, etc.). 


Stomatitis, Rash, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Nausea, Reduced appetite, Low red blood cell, Pneumonitis, Peripheral oedema, Increased blood sugar level, Loss of weight, Increased blood cholesterol, Nose bleed, Cough, Headache

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

It is generally not advisable to consume alcohol with Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s or any chemotherapy medication. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Animal studies showed that Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s and its metabolites are excreted into breast milk. However, much is unknown about its excretion into human breast milk or its potential risks to the feeding baby. Hence, women on Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s is not advised to breastfeed. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (High Risk)

Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease as cases of failure have been reported in patients treated with Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s. Dose adjustment and monitoring of renal function may be needed. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Certican 0.25mg Tablet 60s may be needed. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Quick Tips

  • Notify your doctor if you have excessive thirst, excessive urination frequency, have any infection, shortness of breath, coughing or fever.
  • Discuss with your doctor if you have to be vaccinated after Certican 0.25mg Tablet has been taken.
  • Certican 0.25mg Tablet can affect male and female fertility; discuss with your doctor if your are pregnant, planning to conceive or breatsfeeding.
  • May cause dizziness. Use Certican 0.25mg Tablet with caution when driving or doing activities that require attention until you know how it affects you.
