How To Use Concor 5mg Tablet

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
Please consult a doctor especially before taking Concor FC tab 5 mg. If you have any of the following conditions & contraindications:-
  • Hypersensitivity to bisoprolol
  • Acute heart failure 
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • 2nd or 3rd degree AV block 
  • Sick sinus syndrome
  • SA block
  • Symptomatic bradycardia 
  • Hypotension
  • Severe bronchial asthma
  • Metabolic acidosis
Please stop using this medication if you are experiencing these symptoms and conditions.

 
Concor FC tab 5 mg Drug Interactions

Drug to drug interaction reaction of Concor FC tab 5 mg varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
Alcohol can potentiate side effects of Concor 5mg Tablet.

Pregnancy Warning (C)
Concor 5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy as it can reduce placental perfusion cauising adverse effects on foetus.Hence it is not recommended during pregnancy unless benefit outweighs risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
There is no data concerning Concor 5mg Tablet excretion in breast milk. Thus, it is not presribed for breastfeeding users.

Driving Warning (Safe)
Concor 5mg Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Concor 5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Concor 5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. 10mg daily is the maximum dose for severe kidney disease patients.

Liver Warning (Limited information)
Concor 5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Concor 5mg Tablet is not required but careful monitoring is needed.

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

There could be certain side-effects associated with the usage of the medication. Please refer to the list below:-
  1. Bradycardia
  2. Worsening of preexisting heart failure
  3. Weakness
  4. Fatigue
  5. Dizziness 
  6. Headache 
  7. GI complaints 
  8. Feeling of coldness or numbness in the extremities
  9. Hypotension

While some these symptoms are more common, there are a few rare symptoms that could also occur. If you have missed a dose by chance, try to consume it as soon as possible when you notice. If the time to your next dosage is close, simply skip the medicine. In such cases, try to not double the dosage. 


2. I  think I have accidentally overdosed from the prescribed quantity of Concor FC tab 5 mg. Do I need to see a doctor?

If you feel that you might have used more than the prescribed quantity of Concor FC tab 5 mg, please talk to a physician immediately as overdosage more than the prescribed quantity might lead to undesirable side-effects. 


3. Am I allowed to drink alcohol after taking Concor FC tab 5 mg?

Consumption of alcohol is not recommended with Concor FC tab 5 mg. The resulting interaction between this medication with alcohol may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness and also it might raise the risk of side effects occurrence. In any case, do not consume more than 90 mL a day.


4. Will the consumption of Concor FC tab 5 mg affect the child that I am bearing?
