Apply a thin layer of the gel to the affected area and gently rub it in. Do not apply the gel to areas of the skin that are irritated, wounded, or sunburned.
If you experience any irritation after applying the gel, rinse the area with cool water and discontinue use.

Precautionary Steps of Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g
Please consult a doctor especially before using Differin gel. If you have any of the following conditions & contraindications:

Abrasions
eczematous skin
sunburned skin
Please stop using this medication if you are experiencing these symptoms and conditions.
Differin gel Drug Interactions
Drug to drug interaction reaction of Differin gel varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.
Inform your doctor about all your present medications, before start using this drug.
Keep the following precautions in mind as well:-
Avoid excess exposure to sunlight
Avoid this medicine for a longer use
Tell your doctor if you have any other diseases or if you are taking any other medication
Do not discontinue the prescribed course
Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, angles of the nose & mucous membranes.
Minimise exposure to sunlight, including sunlamps when using this product.
Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is unsafe to apply alcohol with Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g. Using Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g with alcohol may have additive irritant effects. You may experience skin irritation, stinging and burning sensation and sunburn.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown negative effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g is probably safe to use during lactation, however, avoid application to the chest to prevent contact exposure of the infant. No human data suggests that Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g can be used in patients with kidney disease since its absorption is minimal.
Liver Warning (Use With Care)
Differin (Adapalene) 0.1% Gel 15g should be used with caution in patients with liver disease because it was excreted via bile. Dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Warning Precautions
It may cause sensitivity to sunlight, so it is important to wear sunscreen and protective clothing when exposed to direct sunlight.
Avoid getting the gel in the eyes, nose, or mouth.
