CANCELLATION

1. DoctorOnCall reserves the rights to cancel any orders if the product is not available for any reasons. DoctorOnCall will notify the Customer if that is the case and return any payment that the Customer have made. Refund will be credited into the Customer’s credit card or bank account depending on the period of time the Customer’s financial institution required to arrange for the refund.

2. The Customer is not allowed to cancel the order once the order has been picked and packed by DoctorOnCall. Orders that requires a doctor/pharmacist consult will be automatically cancelled and refunded if the customer is unreachable after 5 attempts (within 2 working days). A cancellation notification will be sent to the Customer’s email.

RETURN AND/OR EXCHANGE

1- Return and/ or Exchange of Products can be arranged under the following reasons:

a. If the Product was delivered in a damaged or defective condition; or
b. If the Product has expired or is nearing expiry (less than 6 months); or
c. If the product delivered is different from what was ordered
d. “Change of mind” is not allowed as a reason for return and/ or exchange.

2. The Customer shall examine the Product(s) immediately upon receiving for any deficiencies and/or damages.

3. Should the Customer wish for return and/ or exchange, DoctorOnCall has to be notified via our customer service email at contact@DoctorOnCall.com.my or hotline at 03 - 8048 2000 within one (1) day of receiving the product. DoctorOnCall reserves the rights to reject the request for return and/ or exchange if not notified by the Customer within one (1) day of receiving the product.

4. The Customer will be contacted by DoctorOnCall within one (1) day of request for return and/ or exchange to inform the Customer of the return and/ or exchange process.

5. Upon approval of the Return and/ or Exchange request, the Customer is to deliver the affected Product back to the address of the vendor as stated on the parcel received

6. The affected Products MUST be returned in its new, unused, original condition, with quantity and packaging was delivered to Customer.

7. For rehab products, wheelchairs, electronic products, and medical devices, all products must be returned in its original packaging with cables, accessories, and documentations including manuals and warranty card intact.

8. Failure to return the Product as described in clause 6 and 7 will result in a cancellation of the return and/ or exchange request, and any fees incurred in delivering the package back to the Customer will be borne by the Customer

9. The return of a Product by a Customer does not automatically warrant for an exchange or refund. DoctorOnCall will inspect the returned Products upon receipt of the same. If the conditions in clause No. 6 and 7 of this Return and/ or Exchange Policy have been fulfilled, refunds/ exchanges will be made to the Customer, and the Customer will be reimbursed by DoctorOnCall for any courier charges incurred in returning of the Products. A courier payment slip is to be furnished to DoctorOnCall for the purpose of reimbursement.

10. All replacements or exchange of Products shall be effected subject to stock availability.

11. If a Product which was ordered and invoiced is not included in the delivery, DoctorOnCall shall either refund the Customer the value of that Product, or replace the ordered Product.

12. If any Product which was not included in the Customer's reoder is delivered to the Customer, DoctorOnCall shall collect the Product from the Customer.

13. If a Customer is charged more than the value of a Product as displayed on the site when the Customer makes its Order, DoctorOnCall shall refund to the Customer the difference.

14. All refunds will be made via the same mode of payment within 2 months. Customer’s receipt of the refund will depend on the period of time the selected financial institution takes to finalise the refund. DoctorOnCall shall not be liable with respect to any loss, damage, cost or expense that the Customer or any person may incur as a result of any delay in the financial institution processing of the said refund.

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Glucovance Drug Interactions

Drug to drug interaction reaction of Glucovance varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.

  • Diuretics

Alcohol Warning( Not Advisable )
Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet is known to have an effect similar to a drug called disulfiram, which is used to curb chronic alcoholism. It renders the patient being acutely sensitive to alcohol and feeling unwell.It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet. Alcohol intoxication can increase the risk of lactic acidosis particularly in case of fasting, malnutrition or hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy as animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus and human studies also showed some adverse effect. Therefore, please consult your doctor to discuss the benefits over the risks of taking sulfonylurea due to their chance of having too low blood sugar.Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet should be safe to use during pregnancy because either animal or human studies have not shown any adverse effects on the fetus, however, uncontrolled hyperglycemia in people with PCOS can increase the risk of congenital abnormalities and intrauterine death.

Breastfeeding Warning ( Not Advisable )
Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet being excreted into the breast milk has not been made certain but the risk of having a baby with too low blood sugar cannot be excluded. Therefore, it isn't safe for breastfeeding.Limited human studies suggest that Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet does not represent a significant risk to the baby when used during pregnancy. In regards to limited data, please consult your doctor to decide on discontinuation of breastfeeding or Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet.

Driving Warning ( Generally Safe )
Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning ( High Risk )
Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet requires dose adjustment for patients with mild to moderate kidney disease as it is partially excreted in the urine. Please consult your doctor. Patients with severe kidney disease are contraindicated from taking Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet.Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease, especially in patients with creatinine clearance less than 60mL/min. Patients with severe kidney disease has high risk to get lactic acidosis. Dose adjustment of Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet and regular check up to monitor renal function may be needed. Please consult your doctor before consumption.

Liver Warning ( Use With Care )
Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet may require dose adjustments for patients with liver disease so please consult your doctor before starting Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet. However, patients with severe liver disease are contraindicated from taking Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet.Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease due to increased risk of lactic acidosis. Hence liver function test should be done before initiating Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet. Discontinuation of Glucovance 500mg/2.5mg Tablet may be needed if there is deterioration of liver function. Please consult your doctor.

Side Effects

1. What should I do when I missed a dose of Glucovance?

If you have missed a dose by chance, try to consume it as soon as possible when you notice. If the time to your next dosage is close, simply skip the medicine. In such cases, try to not double the dosage. 


2. I  think I have accidentally overdosed from the prescribed quantity of Glucovance. Do I need to see a doctor?

If you feel that you might have used more than the prescribed quantity of Glucovance, please talk to a physician immediately as overdosage more than the prescribed quantity might lead to undesirable side-effects.
