Introduction of Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s

It is recommended in combination with other HIV medications. Your doctor will recommend the right medication to you to determine which dosage you require.

Before taking this medication, notify the doctor whether you have any issues with the skin or liver or kidney failure. You will require routine blood tests to verify the blood count and liver function. Stop consuming alcohol as it may escalate your risk of liver injury. Pregnant or breast-feeding mothers should contact the doctor before taking this medicine. Do not have unprotected sex or sharing personal products.

How To Use Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Many side effects do not need immediate medical attention and resolve as the body responds to the medication. Tell the doctor if they continue or if you are concerned about them.

Some of the typical side effects are anxiety (difficulty sleeping), headache, nausea, dizziness, and muscle discomfort. These are generally not harmful, just inform the doctor if they affect you or continue for a prolonged period of time. Rarely, some patients can have skin reactions or liver injury. Your doctor may observe you carefully during the initial recovery period.

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

Alcohol can further damage the liver which is one of the side effects of Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol during the treatment with Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but human studies have not shown any reproductive toxicities. Thus, caution use of Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s has to be practised during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Excretion of Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s is found in animal milk but not in human breast milk. An HIV-infected woman should not breastfeed to prevent HIV transmission, developing viral resistance and serious side effects onto the breastfed babies. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s may cause side effects such as dizziness which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)

Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

Caution use has to be practised in patients with severe liver impairment as safety and efficacy of Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s have not been established in this group of patients. Please consult your doctor.

Quick Tips

Take it with or without food, ideally every day.
Do not miss any doses and finish medication even though you feel better.
Do not take antacids or calcium supplements one hour or two hours before taking Isentress 400mg Tablet.
Your doctor can conduct routine blood tests to control your blood cell counts and liver function throughout this medication.
Inform the doctor about conception, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Antacids should be avoided for 6 hours before and 2 hour after when taking Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s because it can increase the exposure and cause your side effects to worsen.

Isentress 400mg Tablet 60s is used to stop the virus from producing new viruses. It inhibits the integrate by binding to the active site and blocking it from producing new virus when treating the disease.
