Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
It is safe to consume alcohol with Pevisone Cream but not advisable if you apply alcohol at the same area as you apply Pevisone Cream to the skin. Both can cause skin irritation that may worsen the effects. Do not drink alcohol when you are taking Pevisone Cream as it might worsen the side effects.

Pregnancy Warning (C)
Pevisone Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy because it was proven in animal studies that Pevisone Cream have harmful effects on the fetus. However, there are limited human studies to guarantee the safety of Pevisone Cream used in pregnant women. Please consult your doctor to know your benefits from use in pregnant women is more than the risk. Do inform your doctor if you are pregnant because Pevisone Cream crosses the placenta. Study of the animals reported some side effects on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans. Use it only when benefits outweight the risks as there is a risk of adrenocortical suppression in newborn in mother on long-term corticosteroid therapy.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Safe To Breastfeed)
Pevisone Cream is excreted in breastmilk in a study done on rats after Pevisone Cream is administered orally. However, limited human evidence to prove the finding in the rats. Please consult your doctor to discuss the necessity of Pevisone Cream use or temporary off breastfeeding. There is inadequate data available for Pevisone Cream can pass into breast milk and may cause harm to the baby. Consult your doctor before taking this medication as Pevisone Cream can affect growth in children.

Driving Warning (Safe)

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Pevisone Cream is excreted via urine after being metabolised, however, it is poorly absorbed from skin or vagina. Thus, insignificant amount would present in the body system. Pevisone Cream is most probably safe to be used in patients with kidney disease but it should be used with caution if it is taken orally. Dose adjustment may be needed if administered orally. Pevisone Cream should only be used with doctor's advice as this medication contain sodium and is excreted by the kidneys, therefore it may cause impairment in pre-existing kidney disease.

Liver Warning (Safe)
Liver is the main organ where metabolism of Pevisone Cream takes part. Hence, Pevisone Cream should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Pevisone Cream may be needed if it is taken orally. However, different from oral use, Pevisone Cream is insignificant in systemic circulation if it is used topically or as vaginal pessary due to poor absorption through skin and vagina.Pevisone Cream is metabolized in the liver, therefore it should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

Pevisone Cream is an antifungal and antiparasitic. Pevisone Cream works by modifying the cell membrane permeability of cell wall membranes in fungi. It interferes with RNA and protein synthesis and lipid metabolism

Pevisone Cream is a corticosteroid which exerts its action by reducing the permeability of the capillaries and inhibiting the migration of leukocytes. As a result, inflammatory response is reduced. It also reduces activity and volume of the lymphatic system involved in the body's immunity.
