How To Use Sunward Probenecid 500mg Tablet 10s (strip)

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Nausea
Vomiting
Headache
Sore gums
Hot flushes
Alopecia
Dizziness
Anaemia
Urinary frequency

While some these symptoms are more common, there are a few rare symptoms that could also occur. Breastfeeding
Kidney stones

Drinking too much alcohol may increase the amount of uric acid in the blood and lessen the effects of this medicine.

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)

Sunward Probenecid 500mg Tablet 10s (strip) crosses the placenta barrier and appears in cord blood. The use of any drug in women of child bearing potential requires that the anticipated benefit be weighed against possible hazards.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

There are no adequate studies in women for determining infant risk when using this medication during breastfeeding. Weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks before taking this medication while breastfeeding.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Sunward Probenecid 500mg Tablet 10s (strip) usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

When you first begin taking Sunward Probenecid 500mg Tablet 10s (strip), the amount of uric acid in the kidneys is greatly increased. This may cause kidney stones or other kidney problems in some people. The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of this medicine. Make sure you tell your doctor of existing kidney disease.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

There are no reports on the frequency of liver test abnormalities during Sunward Probenecid 500mg Tablet 10s (strip) therapy, but they are probably rare as Sunward Probenecid 500mg Tablet 10s (strip) is largely secreted unchanged in the urine.
