Upha Glucoxit 500mg Tablet is an oral antidiabetic medication belonging to the biguanide class of drugs, with Metformin Hydrochloride as its active ingredient. This medicine is a widely trusted choice in the management of blood sugar levels and is commonly prescribed alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise.
Like all medicines, it may cause some side effects — the most commonly reported ones include nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, and a metallic taste in the mouth, especially during the early days of treatment. Before you start taking this tablet, it is important to let your doctor know about any existing kidney, liver, or heart conditions.
Take orally with or immediately after meals to help reduce gastrointestinal discomfort. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water — do not crush or chew unless advised by your healthcare provider. Always follow your doctor’s instructions and do not adjust the dose on your own.
