It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Yaz Tablet. Taking Yaz Tablet with alcohol may worsen the side effects such as nausea and vomiting. Furthermore, it also increases the risk of pancreatitis.Consuming alcohol with Ethinyl Estradiol may worsen the side effects such as headache, dizziness, and nausea.
Yaz Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have not shown any adverse reactions on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.Ethinyl Estradiol is unsafe to use during pregnancy. Both animal and human studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus and fetal abnormalities. Please consult your doctor for more details.
Breastfeeding Warning(Limited Data)
Yaz Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that Yaz Tablet is excreted into breast milk and there are plausible adverse reactions on the nursing infants.No academic reports explaining the use of Ethinyl Estradiol during lactation are available. However, the use of Ethinyl Estradiol for breastfeeding mothers is not recommended because it may reduce milk production and decrease the nutrient content in the milk.
Driving Warning (Safe)
Yaz Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Generally it is safe to take ethynilestradiol if you are driving. However, do not drive if you feel any side effects such as dizziness, headaches, or nausea, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning(High Risk)
The use of Yaz Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Please consult your doctor for more detailsThe use of Ethinyl Estradiol is should be safe in patients with kidney problem. Hoever, consult your doctor regarding dose adjustment if needed.
Liver Warning(Limited information)
The use of Yaz Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hepatic impairment. Please consult your doctor for more details.Ethinyl Estradiol should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ethinyl Estradiol may be needed. However, patients with liver carcinoma is contraindicated to take Ethinyl Estradiol. Please consult your doctor.

Mechanism of Action
Yaz Tablet is an analogue of spironolactone with antimineralocorticoid and antiandrogenic activity. It inhibits ovulation via a negative feedback mechanism on the hypothalamus.
Ethinyl Estradiol acts similarly to estradiol. Estradiol is the main estrogen in premenopausal women. It plays a big role in the development and maintenance of the female reproductive system and secondary sexual characteristics. Besides, it inhibits anterior pituitary by a negative feedback system and causes capillary dilation, protein anabolism, and fluid retention.
