Introduction of Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s

Ebixa 20mg Tablet is taken orally, with or without meals. However, it is recommended that you take it at the same time every day in order to keep a constant amount of medication in your blood. If you forget to take a dosage, take it as soon as you recall. Even if you are feeling better, do not miss any doses and complete the whole course of therapy. It is critical that this medicine be not abruptly discontinued without first seeing your doctor. Remember to tell your doctor if you have a history of seizures, renal illness, heart disease, or liver disease. Some of the most frequent adverse effects of this medication are headaches, disorientation, drowsiness, abnormal liver function tests, balance problems, and shortness of breath. It may also induce dizziness and drowsiness, so avoid driving or engaging in other activities that demand mental concentration until you have determined how this medication affects you. Because this medication may induce diarrhoea, be sure to drink lots of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.

How To Use Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

There could be certain side-effects associated with the usage of the medication. Please refer to the list below:-

Stomach pain
Constipation
Dyspnoea
Dizziness

Precautionary Steps of Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s

Please consult a doctor especially before taking Ebixa. If you have any of the following conditions & contraindications:-

Allergy to Ebixa or any of its components
Liver Disease
Kidney disease
It is not recommended for children & Neonates. Please keep it out of reach from them
Hypersensitivity
Breastfeeding

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

There is no data showed the interaction of Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s with alcohol, however, it is not advisable to take both of them at the same time based on the fact that alcohol will double the side effects if Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s such as dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting and confusion.

Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)

Neither animal or human studies have shown adverse effect of Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s on the fetus in the first trimester, as well as in later trimester. Limited studies done on pregnant women because of the usage of Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s in treating Alzheimer's disease, which is commonly found in older age. Please consult your doctor before usage.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

No data have found about lactation safety while consuming Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s. However, the fact that Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s has lipophilic character, it has to potential to be excreted in breast milk. Please stop breastfeeding if you are consuming Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Alzheimer's disease itself impairs your ability to drive alone and with the addition of Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s, your driving impairment will be affected even more. Family members should receive prior warnings.

Kidney Warning (High Risk)

Dose adjustment for Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s may be needed in patients with moderate-to-severe kidney impairment. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver disease but its use is not recommended in severe type. Please consult your doctor.

Quick Tips

Its side effects are tolerable and fewer than with other comparable medications.
Drive/operate any vehicle/machine with caution until you understand how it affects you. If you've a history of seizures, renal illness, heart problems, or liver disease, tell your doctor.

Can I take Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s with my cold, flu and cough medication?

Some cold, flu and cough preparations contains a medication called dextromethorphan which can increase the effect of Ebixa 20mg Tablet 28s when being taken together. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking both of them together.
