It works by preventing the ovulation and changes the cervical mucus consistency. It also make changes to the uterus lining to prevent any pregnancy to happen.

Headache, Mood Changes, Breast Pain, Weight Gain, Asthma, Breast Secretion, Allergic Reaction, Hearing Impairment.

Alcohol Safe

There is no known interaction between Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol with alcohol.

Pregnancy Limited Data

Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol is not indicated for usage during pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs during use of Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol, the preparation should be withdrawn immediately. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Lactation Not Advisable

Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol reduces production of breast milk. Hence, other contraceptive method aside from Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol should be considered until the nursing mother has completely weaned her child. Excretion of Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol into breast milk is in minimal amounts and may possibly affect the child.

Driving Generally Safe

Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol should not affect alertness or driving ability.

Kidney Use With Care

Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease as it can cause fluid retention and its effect of usage on renal impairment patients has not been studied enough. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Liver Use With Care

Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol should be used with caution in patients with liver disease as in cause disturbances in liver enzymes. Dose adjustment of Drospirenone+Ethinylestradiol may be needed. It is contraindicated in past history in liver disease. Please consult your doctor before using it.
