How Enzalutamide Works

Enzalutamide is a nonsteroidal antiandrogen that blocks the androgen receptor signalling pathway. It inhibits binding and nuclear translocation of the androgen receptors as well as binding of the complex to DNA.

Enzalutamide Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

The drinking of alcohol may increase your risk of certain side effects including seizure. Discuss with your doctor before being treated with enzalutamide. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk

Enzalutamide is contraindicated for use in pregnant women.

Lactation Not Advisable

Enzalutamide is not for use during lactation. Excretion of Enzalutamide into the breastmilk is found in animal studies but is largely unknown due to limited human studies.

Driving Not advisable

There have been cases of Enzalutamide causing side effects such as dizziness, headaches and seizure to users who were operating machines or driving. Do not drive unless you're feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

Enzalutamide should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Enzalutamide may be needed. Please consult your doctor. The excretion of Enzalutamide in patients with severe kidney disease has not been studied adequately.

Liver Use With Care

Enzalutamide should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Enzalutamide may be needed. Please consult your doctor before using it.
