Griseofulvin is commonly used in the treatment of fungal infections, fungal infections of mouth thrush, nail infections and skin infections.

How Griseofulvin Works

Griseofulvin is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting fungal cell division and it binds to the human keratin, leading to resistance of fungal infections. It also interferes with the DNA production

Griseofulvin Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Griseofulvin. Taking Griseofulvin with alcohol may increase the alcohol effects.

Pregnancy Not Safe - High Risk

Griseofulvin should not be used during pregnancy. The risk to the human fetus is proven based on studies in humans. Using Griseofulvin during pregnancy may lead to fetal abnormalities. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Limited Data

Griseofulvin should be used with caution during lactation. There are limited data on the usage of Griseofulvin during lactation or breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.

Driving Generally Safe
