Olodaterol is commonly used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd)

How Olodaterol Works

Olodaterol is a long acting beta2-receptor agonist. It stimulates intracellular adenyl cyclase, thereby increasing cyclic-3′, 5′-adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels, thus allowing bronchodilation by relaxation of respiratory smooth muscle.

Side Effects of Olodaterol

Nasopharyngitis, Dizziness, Increased blood pressure, Rash, Joint pain, Increased heart rate, Tremor, Nervousness, Insomnia, Dry mouth, Nausea, Muscle Spasm, Fatigue, Potassium Deficiency level, Increased blood sugar level

Pregnancy Not Safe

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Lactation Limited Data

It is not known whether Olodaterol is excreted into breast milk and its potential side effects on feeding infant is largely unknown. Please consult your doctor before using it.

Driving Not advisable

Olodaterol may cause side effects such as dizziness which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Olodaterol can be used in patients with kidney disease due to limited systemic exposure. Dose adjustment of Olodaterol may not be needed. However, please consult your doctor if you have severe kidney disease.

Liver Limited Data

Olodaterol doesn't differ in its pharmacokinetics in patients with mild to moderate liver disease. Dose adjustment of Olodaterol may not be needed. However, please consult your doctor if you have severe liver disease.
