Uses of Oxymetazoline

Oxymetazoline is commonly used to treat conjunctivitis, eye irritation, nasal congestion or blocked nose, pupil dilation and uveitis.

How Oxymetazoline Works

Oxymetazoline works by stimulating alpha�-adrenergic receptors which then produces local vasoconstriction on the blood vessels at nasal mucosa and conjunctiva. As a result, there is a decrease in blood flow causing reduced nasal & conjunctival congestion.

Dry mouth and throat, Burning or stinging sensation, Sneezing, Rebound rhinitis, Dry nose, Rebound nasal congestion, Local irritation, Rhinitis medicamentosa

Alcohol Safe

It is safe to consume alcohol with oxymetazoline as it only has topical formulations.

Pregnancy Not Safe
