Joint/Muscle/Bone pain, Back pain, Gut disturbances, Allergic reactions, Skin rash, Liver dysfunction, Eye disorders, Osteonecrosis of the jaw, Atypical femur fractures

Risedronate sodium Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

Alcohol may accentuate the gut disturbances caused by Risedronate sodium. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol with Risedronate sodium concomitantly.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but there are limited data on the use of Risedronate sodium in pregnant women. Thus, it is contraindicated during pregnancy.

Lactation Not Advisable

Excretion of Risedronate sodium has been found in animal milk but it is unknown in human breastmilk. Thus, Risedronate sodium is contraindicated during breastfeeding.

Driving Generally Safe

Risedronate sodium usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

No dose adjustment is needed for patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment. However, Risedronate sodium is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney impairment.

Liver Use With Care

Risedronate sodium is safe to be used in patients with liver impairment.
