Rivaroxaban Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

Daily use of alcohol may cause stomach ulcer and spontaneous bleeding will occur when used with Rivaroxaban due to the impaired clotting process. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol during the treatment with Rivaroxaban.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicity but there are limited data on the use of Rivaroxaban in pregnant women. Thus, Rivaroxaban is contraindicated during pregnancy due to potential reproductive toxicities.

Lactation Not Advisable

Excretion of Rivaroxaban has been found in animal milk but it is unknown in human breast milk. Thus, Rivaroxaban is contraindicated during breastfeeding as the safety profile has not been established.

Driving Generally Safe

Rivaroxaban usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Use With Care

Dose adjustment is needed in patients with moderate to severe kidney impairment. Rivaroxaban is contraindicated in patients with creatinine clearance less than 15ml/min. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Use With Care

Rivaroxaban is contraindicated in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment. Please consult your doctor.
