Roflumilast Related Warnings

Alcohol Not Advisable

There is no known interaction between alcohol and Roflumilast when consumed concomitantly. However, alcohol is not advisable for a patient with COPD as it will worsen the condition.

Pregnancy Not Safe

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicities but there are limited data on the use of Roflumilast in pregnant women. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during pregnancy.

Lactation Not Advisable

Excretion of Roflumilast has been found in animal milk but it is unknown in human breast milk. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during breastfeeding as risks cannot be excluded.

Driving Generally Safe

Roflumilast usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Safe If Prescribed

Roflumilast is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.

Liver Use With Care

Dose adjustment is needed in patients with mild liver impairment. Roflumilast is contraindicated in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment.
