How Simethicone+Dicyclomine Works

It has antispasmodic properties which inhibits smooth muscle spasm in GIT. Simethicone has antifoaming properties which decrease gas bubbles in the GIT and removes it through flatulence.

Alcohol Not Advisable

There is no known interaction between alcohol and Activated Dimethicone/Simethicone+Dicyclomine. However, alcohol is able to worsen the peptic ulcer leading to severe bleeding. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol during the treatment of Activated Dimethicone/Simethicone+Dicyclomine.

Pregnancy Limited Data

There are limited data on the use of Activated Dimethicone/Simethicone+Dicyclomine in pregnant women from animal studies and human studies. Thus, caution use has to be practised during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation Safe If Prescribed

Excretion of Activated Dimethicone/Simethicone+Dicyclomine has been found in human breast milk but the risk on breastfed infants is not significant. Thus, it is safe to be used during breastfeeding.
