The original flavour of Fisherman's Friend which dates back to 1865 now comes in various flavours such as blackcurrent. It can be used as a daily mint for sore throat and cough relief.
One every 2 to 3 hours as required, not more than eight lozenges per day.

The pain associated with sore throats can be excruciating, especially when swallowing or coughing. However, these symptoms can be alleviated through the use of throat lozenges such as
Sucking on a lozenge causes it to dissolve and release its medication. It's designed to dissolve gradually in the mouth and briefly stop coughing while also lubricating and soothing inflamed throat tissues. Some feature cold-fighting drugs, while the majority have anaesthetics to help with pain relief. Menthol or eucalyptus are also found in lozenges, which can aid to cool and soothe the throat. Others include honey, which has been shown to help with coughing.
