MAA: Hepatitis Screening (with Hepatitis C Test)

Recommended for all adults over the age of 18. 

Strongly recommended for individuals who:

• Have had past blood transfusions
• Use intravenous medications/drugs
• Are sexually active or have multiple sexual partners 
• Work in high risk environments (e.g. healthcare settings) 

Full Liver Profile - A group of tests that measure the levels of some enzymes and proteins in your blood. These are used to help diagnose signs of liver damage or abnormalities caused by hepatitis infections or other diseases.

• ALT (SGPT)
• AST (SGOT)
• GGT
• Total protein
• Albumin
• Globulin
• ALP
• Bilirubin (total)

Hepatitis C Antibody - This test screens for antibodies produced by the body in response to the hepatitis C virus, indicating a past or current infection. 

Hepatitis B Test (Antigen & Antibody) - Hepatitis B antigen test (HBsAg) can detect the presence of the hepatitis B virus in your blood, while the hepatitis B antibody (HBsAb) test can indicate the presence of antibodies against the virus that may have developed after vaccination or past infection. 

HIV I & II - This test can be used to find out if you have been infected with HIV, a virus that causes AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). Early detection and treatment can lead to better outcomes and quality of life. 

Review by Medical Officer - After your tests are done, a doctor will interpret the results and explain them to you. 

• Minimum 3 days booking in advance
• Available from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 10:30 am (not available on weekends and Public Holidays)
• Upon payment, you will receive your proof of payment via email.
• Please arrive at the center in-person within 15 minutes of appointment time.
• Note that samples taken outside of the center (e.g. from your home etc.) or more than 1 hour before your appointment time WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
• Location of the centre: MAA Medicare Cardiac Diagnostic Centre. 183, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Titiwangsa Sentral, 51200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
• Results are usually available within 3-5 working days; DoctorOnCall's staff will contact you to help arrange the consultation and review your test results

REGISTRATION

 Please bring along your identification document: NRIC (for Malaysia) or passport (for non-Malaysian) and your booking confirmation receipt on the test day.

TEST RESULTS

Test results are usually available within 3-5 working days and our staff will contact you to arrange for an online Medical Officer consultation to review your results; do contact us at 03-84082000 if you have not received it after 3 working days

The receipt can only be used for the package indicated.

Packages booked cannot be refunded but can be postponed to a later date within 6 months of the package being purchased.
