Introduction of Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml

Do not use Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension if the cover breaks before first using it. Clean your hands before use. Make sure you remove contact lenses while using them and wait at least 15 minutes following application before returning them. You shouldn't stop taking the medicine until your doctor instructs you. Stopping the medicine early may enable the germs to continue their development, which may result in illness recurrence. It may cause eye discomfort, burning, and watery eyes. Usually transient and improve with time. It may also obscure your vision, or cause other sight alterations for a short time, drive or operate other equipment until your eyesight is clear. If you're pregnant or nursing, contact your doctor before taking this medication.

How To Use Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml

This medicine is for external use only. Always wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. Gently shake the bottle of the eye drop before use. Tilt your head back and look upwards. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it to avoid contamination. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Whilst keeping the affected eye closed, gently press your finger against the corner of the closed eye (the side where the eye meets the nose) and hold for 1 minute. Wipe off any extra liquid. Wait for 5 minutes before administering another drop into that eye (of the same or different medication) to prevent drops from being washed out of the eye. Ensure to replace and tighten the cap straight after use or discard away any medication for single-use containers.

Alcohol Warning (Safe)

It is safe to consume alcohol with Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml as there is no known drug interaction.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicity to the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. It can only be used if the benefits outweigh the risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

There is no information regarding Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml excretion in human breast milk. Thus, it is not recommended to use Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml whilst lactating.

Driving Warning (Limited Data)

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml may cause transient loss of vision which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)

Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml has low systemic absorption. Therefore, no dose adjustment of Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml may be needed.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Dose adjustment of Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension 5ml is not needed as there is low systemic absorption.

Quick Tips

Do not use Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension beyond the recommended period.
May cause temporary visual blurring upon administration. Do not use before driving or perform any activities that require attention.
Press the inner corner of the eye (near the nose) for approximately 1 minute, immediately after administering Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension
Make sure the tip does not get in contact with any surface or eyes to prevent contamination. Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering into the next eye to prevent dilution.
Stinging feeling may occur for 1-2 minutes. Contact your doctor if it continues.
If you use soft contact lenses, remove them and wait at least 15 minutes before re-inserting your lenses.
Use within 4 weeks after opening the bottle.
Side effects including mood swings or gastrointestinal issues may occur while using Lotemax Sterile Ophthalmic Suspension.
Notify your doctor if it bothers you. Do not quit taking it without first talking to your doctor as it may aggravate your symptoms.
