How To Use Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml
Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension should be taken orally as directed by your physician.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Dry skin, Reddening of the skin, Irritation, Itchiness, Exfoliated skin, Swelling face
Allergic, Dizziness, headache, stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, or metallic taste in your mouth, Urine color change, Fungal or bacterial super infection, Unsteadiness, seizures, mental/mood changes (such as confusion), Trouble speaking, Numbness/tingling of limbs, Eye pain, sudden vision changes, Headache, Stiff neck.
Warning Precautions
Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)
As Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml is used topically, the risk of interacting with alcohol consumed is nil. It is therefore to consume alcohol while applying Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml.It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml. Taking Metoclopramide with alcohol may cause a disulfiram-like reaction.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
There is limited data conducted on the animal reproductive studies and also on pregnant human with topical Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml. Animal studies did not indicate harmful effects on reproduction while no adverse reaction to the human fetus or the pregnancy has ever been recorded.Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml has been used extensively without ill consequences. Animal studies have not shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may outweigh the risk. Please consult your doctor before using it.
Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
It is not known whether Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml is excreted into the human breastmilk or not. It is not advisable to apply topical Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml on the chest to avoid accidental contact with the infant.It is found that Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml is excreted in very little quantities in breast milk and not adequate to cause harmful effects. However, it is advisable to practice caution while taking Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml during breastfeeding.
Driving Warning (Not Advisable)
Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml is not known to affect the ability to drive or concentrate thus it is safe to be used before driving.Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml may cause side effects such as dizziness, visual or neurological disturbances, all of which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml is not used for internal consumption and the amount absorbed into the circulatory system also is negligible to cause any effect even though it is excreted by the urine. It is, therefore, safe to be used even in a patient with renal impairment.Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml elimination rate is not affected by kidney disease but effect of accumulation of its metabolites in the body is largely unknown. Please inform your doctor beforehand if you have any underlying kidney disease before using it.
Liver Warning (Limited Data)
Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml is not metabolised by the liver and with only little amount absorbed through the skin into the circulatory system, Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml does not cause any harm to the liver. Dose adjustment is not needed in hepatic impaired people.Dose adjustment for Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension 100ml is required in patients with hepatic impairment as its metabolism is mainly in the liver.
Warning Precautions
Metrogyl 200mg/5ml Suspension should not be used if you are allergic to it or any of the ingredients present in it.
It is not recommended for use in pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers unless absolutely necessary.
