How To Use Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s
This medicine is for external use only. Always wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. Tilt your head back and look upwards. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it to avoid contamination. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Whilst keeping the affected eye closed, gently press your finger against the corner of the closed eye (the side where the eye meets the nose) and hold for 1 minute. Wipe off any extra liquid. Wait for 5 minutes before administering another drop into that eye (of the same or different medication) to prevent drops from being washed out of the eye. Ensure to replace and tighten the cap straight after use or discard away any medication for single-use containers.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
There is no known interaction between alcohol and topical Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s when used concomitantly.
Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
There are limited data on the safety of Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s use during pregnancy but Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s has been used in wide without apparent toxicities. Thus, caution use of Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s has to be practised during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Excretion of Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s in the human breastmilk is unknown and the safety profile has not been established. Thus, it is not advisable to be used during breastfeeding.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
Topical Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
Topical Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s is safe to be used in patients with kidney impairment.
Liver Warning (Limited Data)
Topical Minims Tetracaine Hcl 1% Eye Drop 20s is safe to be used in patients with liver impairment.
