Nevanac 0.1% Eye drop is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) in the eye.
The use of this medication can cause eye irritation, burning sensation, blurred vision, and watery or dry eyes. These are generally temporary and dissapear with time. However, if they continue or worsen, you can let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to recommend ways to avoid or reduce symptoms.

Studies about the safety of Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop 5ml in pregnancy have only been conducted in animals. No human data is available. Inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis may adversely affect the pregnancy or development of the fetus, therefore this medication is not recommended to be used during pregnancy

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)
Animal studies show that Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop 5ml is excreted in animal breastmilk. However, this is unknown in humans.

Introduction of Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop 5ml

The majority of individuals who use this drug don't have any negative side effects. Feeling drowsy, dizzy, or exhausted are the most prevalent ones (fatigue). These are generally minor and fade away as your body adjusts to the medication. The majority of adverse effects are minor and do not need medical treatment. If any of the adverse effects continue or cause you concern, speak with your doctor.

How To Use Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop 5ml

This medicine is for external use only. Always wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. Tilt your head back and look upwards. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it to avoid contamination. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Whilst keeping the affected eye closed, gently press your finger against the corner of the closed eye (the side where the eye meets the nose) and hold for 1 minute. Wipe off any extra liquid. Wait for 5 minutes before administering another drop into that eye (of the same or different medication) to prevent drops from being washed out of the eye. Ensure to replace and tighten the cap straight after use or discard away any medication for single-use containers.

Quick Tips

Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop should be administered according to the recommended dosage and duration.
Complete the whole course of therapy, it may take up to 4 to 6 weeks. Do not miss any doses even if you are feeling better to avoid reoccurence.
May cause temporary visual blurring upon administration. Do not use Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop before driving or perform any activities that require attention.
Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it.
Drop the Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop directly into the lower lid and wipe off extra fluid.
Press the inner corner of the eye (near the nose) for approximately 1 minute, immediately after administering
Make sure the tip does not get in contact with any surface or eyes to prevent contamination. Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next drug into the same eye (if needed) to prevent dilution.
Stinging feeling may occur for 1-2 minutes. Contact your doctor if it continues.
Notify your doctor if you are on blood thinning medications or have bleeding issues.
Use Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop within 4 weeks after opening the bottle.
Do not abruptly stop Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop without first talking to your doctor as it may aggravate your symptoms..

Can i use Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop 5ml together with steroid eyedrop?

Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop 5ml belong to a group of medication called NSAIDS, and it is indicated for temporary relief of pain and inflammation after eye surgery. Nevanac 0.1% Eye Drop 5ml eye drop cannot be used together with steroid eye drop as this may increase the potential for healing problems. Avoid usage of both eye drops together.
