Consult your health instructions carefully when using Pataday 0.2% Eye Solution in your eyes. It should be used frequently at equally spaced time intervals as recommended by your doctor. Do not miss any doses and complete the entire course of therapy even if you feel much better. It may also lead to burning, discomfort, irritation in your eyes however this impact is brief.
This medicine is for external use only. Always wash your hands before and after applying eye drops. Tilt your head back and look upwards. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it to avoid contamination. Pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Whilst keeping the affected eye closed, gently press your finger against the corner of the closed eye (the side where the eye meets the nose) and hold for 1 minute. Wipe off any extra liquid. Wait for 5 minutes before administering another drop into that eye (of the same or different medication) to prevent drops from being washed out of the eye. Ensure to replace and tighten the cap straight after use or discard away any medication for single-use containers.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.
Quick Tips
If you use soft contact lenses, take them out before using these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before replacing them.
To prevent contaminating the eye drops, do not contact the dropper's tip to any surface or your eye.
After taking it, side symptoms such as eye discomfort or irritation, dry eyes, strange feeling in the eyes, and headache may develop. These are generally minor and aren't experienced by everyone.
When initially used, it may cause temporary visual blurring. Before driving or using machinery, use care. If any of the above-mentioned adverse effects develop, contact your treating physician. Make careful to utilise the bottle within four weeks after opening it.
