How To Use Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet 10s (strip)

This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Many side effects require minimal medical assistance and fades as the body responds to the medicine. Speak to the doctor if they continue or if you are particularly worried.

Orthostatic hypotension is a common side effect (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing). Temporary and usually resolves over time. If you are particularly worried about these side effects, consult your doctor immediately. Do not drive or do anything that requires focus and concentration until you know how this medicine affects you. Limit consuming alcohol while taking this medicine.

Amenorrhea, Nausea, Difficulty sleeping (insomnia), Vomiting, Blurred vision, Impotence, Dizziness, Urticaria, Jaundice, Constipation

Before taking Stemetil, please refer to the doctor's advice especially if you have any of the following illnesses. Contraindicated disease:

Allergies to Stemetil or any other of its ingredients
Liver disease
Glaucoma
Extrapyramidal syndrome
Hypotension
Epilepsy
Renal disease
Pregnancy
Heart problems
It is not recommended for use by children. Please keep it away from them.

Breastfeeding

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown side effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding Warning (Limited Data)

Since data from animal studies shows that Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be found in breast milk, Prochlorperazineshould not be used during lactation.

Driving Warning (Not Advisable)

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may cause side effects such as drowsiness which could affect the ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet 10s (strip) should be used with caution in patients with kidney impairment. Dose adjustment of Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet 10s (strip) may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Limited Data)

Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet 10s (strip) contraindicated in impaired liver function.

Quick Tips

May cause dizziness. Do not take Duopharma Prochlor 5mg Tablet before driving or perform any activities that require attention until you know how it affects you.
