Introduction of Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip)
Valtrex 500mg Tablet must be taken in the prescribed dosage and for the prescribed period as prescribed by your doctor. Even if you are feeling better, do not miss any doses and complete the whole course of therapy as directed. It may be taken with or without meals, but it is best if it is taken at a same time each morning. If you forget to take a dosage, take it as soon as you remember. If, on the other hand, it is nearly time for your next dosage, you should omit the missed dose and return to your normal regimen. Do not take two doses at the same time. You should drink lots of water while taking this medication since it helps to avoid dehydration as well as renal impairment. It may cause a number of typical adverse effects, such as headaches, nausea, and stomach discomfort. Inform your doctor if any of these adverse effects continue for an extended period of time. If you are pregnant, intending to become pregnant, or are already nursing, you should contact your doctor.
This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

It is not advisable to take Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) with alcohol intake because it might worsen the side effects of Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) such as headache, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting.
Pregnancy Warning (Maybe Safe)
Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) is likely to be safe to use during pregnancy. Human and animal studies have failed to show any risk to the fetus and also no significant adverse reactions.
Breastfeeding Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) is most likely safe to use during lactation. Furthermore, Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) has been used to treat herpes virus infection in neonates. The American Academy of Paediatrics also classifies Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) as compatible to be used for breastfeeding mothers.
Driving Warning (Generally Safe)
There are no studies on the effect of Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) on the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Inappropriate dosage for patients with renal impairments may worsen the renal condition. Dose adjustment of Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver Warning (Safe If Prescribed)
Studies show that no dose modification needed in patient with mild to moderate cirrhosis who is on 1000mg of dose. Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) with a daily dose of 4000mg and above should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. The active substance of Valtrex 500mg Tablet 14s (strip) is metabolized in the liver. Please consult your doctor.
Quick Tips
Complete the entire course of therapy even if you feel well during the therapy. During therapy, drink a lot of water. This prevents dehydration and renal damage. If you already have genital herpes,utilise barrier contraception (condoms) and avoid sexual contact while you havng symptoms such as sores.
