Vascor is made from the following ingredient:-
  1. Simvastatin (10mg)

General advice for Vascor:

Vascor Drug Interactions

Drug to drug interaction reaction of Vascor varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.
  • Antifungal agents (such as itraconazole, ketoconazole, posaconazole, or voriconazole) 
  • HIV protease inhibitors (such as indinavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir, and saquinavir) 
  • Boceprevir or telaprevir (drugs used to treat hepatitis C virus infection) 
  • Erythromycin
  • Clarithromycin
  • Telithromycin
  • Fusidic acid  
  • Antidepressant 
  • Nefazodone  
  • Cyclosporine  
  • Danazol  
  • Fibric acid derivatives (such as gemfibrozil and bezafibrate)  
  • Amiodarone 
  • Verapamil
  • Diltiazem
  • Amlodipine 
  • Lomitapide
  • Grapefruit juice

Both studies in animal and human studies show fetal risk for the mothers who are taking Vascor 20mg Tablet. It is not recommended to be used during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Safe To Breastfeed)
Vascor 20mg Tablet is contraindicated for breastfeeding mothers. Please consult your doctors to see any other alternative drugs available.

Driving Warning (Safe)
Vascor 20mg Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)
No dose adjustment is needed for patients with mild and moderate kidney insufficiency. However, if the creatinine clearance is less than 30 mL/min, dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Safe)
Vascor 20mg Tablet is contraindicated for patients with active liver disease. However, if the patients are not in the active phase, Vascor 20mg Tablet can be prescribed but with dosage adjustments. Please consult your doctor for more details.
