This medicine is for oral use only. Swallow this medication as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take this medication at a fixed time each day if it is indicated for everyday use.

Side Effects

As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Many side effects require minimal medical assistance and fades as the body responds to the medicine. Speak to the doctor if they continue or if you are particularly worried.

The most common side effect of Xarelto is bleeding. Nosebleeds and bruising are other side effects. If you have significant kidney or liver complications, or you are still bleeding or if you are on any medication to reduce blood clotting, you will need to withdraw Xarelto. While taking this medicine , you should not breastfeed.

Warning Precautions

Alcohol Warning (Not Advisable)

Daily use of alcohol may cause stomach ulcer and spontaneous bleeding will occur when used with Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) due to the impaired clotting process. Thus, it is not advisable to consume alcohol during the treatment with Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip).

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)

Animal studies have shown reproductive toxicity but there are limited data on the use of Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) in pregnant women. Thus, Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) is contraindicated during pregnancy due to potential reproductive toxicities.

Breastfeeding Warning (Not Advisable)

Excretion of Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) has been found in animal milk but it is unknown in human breast milk. Thus, Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) is contraindicated during breastfeeding as the safety profile has not been established.

Driving Warning (Generally Safe)

Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning (Use With Care)

Dose adjustment is needed in patients with moderate to severe kidney impairment. Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) is contraindicated in patients with creatinine clearance less than 15ml/min. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning (Use With Care)

Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10s (strip) is contraindicated in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment. Please consult your doctor.

For a better efficacy, take Xarelto 10mg tablet every day at the same time.
It's good to take medicine with food at night. It interacts less with food and other drugs.
As a result, repeated dosage modifications are not necessary.
This raises the possibility of bleeding. Be cautious while washing, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or participating in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling).
It could induce dizziness. Stop driving or doing anything involves a mental focus before you realize how it effects you.
