Introduction of YSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet

It is recommended that you takeYSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet with meals to prevent stomach discomfort and to decrease adverse effects. For the most part, you should aim to take the lowest quantity of medication required to manage your symptoms for the shortest period of time feasible. You should continue to take this medication on a regular basis as long as you need it. It is important not to skip doses since the medication will become less effective if you do. The medication is well tolerated, and there are few or no adverse effects reported. Some individuals, however, may have vomiting, stomach discomfort, nausea, and indigestion as a result of taking it. If any of these adverse effects do not resolve or worsen with time, you should see your doctor immediately. Your doctor may be able to provide recommendations for methods to avoid or reduce the symptoms. Even though this medication is frequently given and generally regarded safe, it is not appropriate for everyone. Prior to taking it, inform your doctor if you have renal issues, asthma, blood diseases, or if you consume large amounts of alcoholic beverages. Also, inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking so that you may be sure you are not at risk. When using this medication, it is recommended not to consume any alcoholic beverages.

Please consult a doctor especially before taking Ibuprofen. If you have any of the following conditions & contraindications:-

  • It is not recommended for children & Neonates. Please keep it out of reach from them

  • Breastfeeding

Ibuprofen Drug Interactions

Drug to drug interaction reaction of Ibuprofen varies from a person to another person. It is advisable to check with your doctor about all the possible drug interactions before starting the medication.
  • Alcohol
  • Warfarin
  • Aspirin
  • Corticosteroids
This is an incomprehensive list of drug-to-drug interactions and conditions that might interfere with Ibuprofen function. Do inform your doctor about all your current medications prior to consuming this drug. 

Keep the following precautions in mind as well:-
  • Avoid excess exposure to sunlight
  • Avoid this medicine for a longer use
  • Alcohol might affect your liver if it is taken with this medication

Alcohol Warning( Not Advisable )
Consuming alcohol with YSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet is best avoided.

Pregnancy Warning (Not Safe)
Take with precaution in 1st and 2nd trimester but do not take during 3rd trimester of pregnancy here is a risk of premature closure of the foetal ductus arteriosus with possible persistent pulmonary hypertension.The onset of labour may be delayed and duration of labour increased, with increased bleeding tendency in both mother and child.

Breastfeeding Warning ( Limited Data )
In limited studies, YSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet appears in the breast milk in very low concentrations and is unlikely to affect the breast-fed infant adversely.

Driving Warning ( Generally Safe )
YSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet usually does not affect the ability to drive. Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney Warning ( High Risk )
Use of YSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of YSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver Warning ( Limited Data )
YSP Ibuprofen 400mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease as it is metabolised in the liver.
As with all medications, you may experience some side effects. Not everyone experiences it. This is not a cause for concern. However, it is so that you are aware of it.

Apart from the list of Ibuprofen uses, there could be certain side-effects associated with the usage of the medication. Please refer to the list below:-

  3. Allergic Reaction
  4. Irritability
  5. Diarrhea 
  6. Headache
  7. Constipation
  8. Stomach pain

While some these symptoms are more common, there are a few rare symptoms that could also occur. These symptoms become more prominent as when one is undergoing a long term therapy with this medication.

Nausea or vomiting, Heartburn, Loss of appetite, Cramps, Flatulence, Constipation or Diarrhea, Dizziness, Sleepiness, Hearing disturbances, Headache, Insomnia, Mood changes

Consume it with milk or food to avoid an upset stomach. Take it as your doctor's direction. Long-term usage may result in consequences such as internal bleeding and renal disease.Do not take antacids 2 hours after taking it and taking with alcohol may raise the chance of gastrointestinal issues.Let your doctor know if you have history of heart problems or stroke . Doctors will check your kidney function, liver function, and blood products if you are using this medication for long-term therapy.

1. What should I do when I missed a dose of Ibuprofen?

If you have missed a dose by chance, try to consume it as soon as possible when you notice. If the time to your next dosage is close, simply skip the medicine. In such cases, try to not double the dosage. 


2. I  think I have accidentally overdosed from the prescribed quantity of Ibuprofen. Do I need to see a doctor?

If you feel that you might have used more than the prescribed quantity of Ibuprofen, please talk to a physician immediately as overdosage more than the prescribed quantity might lead to undesirable side-effects. 


3. Will the consumption of Ibuprofen affect the child that I am bearing?

This medicine is not recommended for use during pregnancy. You’re advised to consult an obstetrician for detailed information before start consuming this drug. Pregnant women can weigh the pros and cons of the drug with the help of a doctor before it is used.


4. I am currently nursing my baby. Is it safe to use Ibuprofen during breastfeeding or lactation?

This medicine is not recommended for use during breastfeeding or lactation. You’re advised to consult an obstetrician for detailed information before start consuming this drug. Lactating mother can weigh the pros and cons of the drug with the help of a doctor before it is used.


5. Does Ibuprofen have an addictive property?

This product is not addictive. Addictive medicines will be classified in schedule 2-5 in the US and schedule X or H in India. Please refer to the information on the package carefully.


6. What should I do if I mistakenly took an expired dose of Ibuprofen?

Consuming an expired dose of Ibuprofen by accident might not be harmful but do consult your physician for advice just to be safe in this matter.
