Difflam Anti-inflammatory Anti-Bacterial Lozenges (Raspberry) combine benzydamine hydrochloride, an anti-inflammatory and local anaesthetic agent, with an antibacterial component to relieve sore throat pain, swelling, and minor mouth or throat infections. The raspberry flavour provides a pleasant taste while the lozenge slowly dissolves in the mouth, delivering medication directly to the throat lining.

This combination formula is intended for the relief of sore throat associated with minor bacterial or inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat, such as pharyngitis or minor gum infections, and is available without a prescription in Malaysia. It is suitable for short-term use as part of general sore throat symptom management, alongside rest and adequate fluid intake.

Benzydamine hydrochloride works by reducing inflammation and blocking pain signals locally in the throat, providing an anaesthetic effect that numbs discomfort, while also possessing mild antimicrobial properties. The antibacterial component in the lozenge helps to reduce the bacterial load in the mouth and throat, supporting the body’s own defences against minor bacterial infection while the anti-inflammatory action addresses swelling and pain.

Allow one lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth without chewing or swallowing whole, and repeat every 3 hours as needed for symptom relief. Avoid eating or drinking immediately after use to allow the medication to remain in contact with the throat lining for maximum effect.

Adults and children aged 6 years and above may take one lozenge every 3 hours, up to a maximum of 8 lozenges in 24 hours. Use should generally not exceed 7 days without consulting a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or worsen.

Difflam Anti-inflammatory Anti-Bacterial Lozenges typically have a shelf life of around 36 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly and unopened; always check the expiry date printed on the packaging before use.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and keep the lozenges in their original packaging until ready for use. Keep out of reach of children.
