Birth Control Pills with Vaccination
Currently taking the Sunolut (Norethisterone 5mg) 2 tablets per day. Would like to ask while taking the pills, can I go for vaccination ? Or should I stop taking the pills before going for vaccination ? If so, should stop taking it for how many days before the vaccination ? Please advise on this. Thank you.

Hello and thank you for using our services.
We understand your concern about getting the COVID-19 vaccination while also taking birth control pills, is this correct? We will try to assist you with this matter.
For your information, women who are on birth control are advised to take the COVID-19 vaccination. There is no contraindication of the birth control pill with the COVID-19 vaccine. You should not stop taking the birth control and should continue taking it.
However, if you have any history of immediate onset anaphylaxis to multiple classes of drugs or unexplained anaphylaxis, it is better that you get further confirmation from a doctor or specialist , as well as report to the medical officer at your Vaccination Center, to prevent any serious complications .
You can also contact the Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC) or JKJAV.
