Colleague has indirect contact with someone tested positive for covid-19

My colleague was in contact with the mother of someone who is tested positive for covid-19. The mother has been tested and found to be negative. If the colleague is also negative, should I and other colleagues in office who sit close to the colleague go through 14 days self quarantine? Any precaution that my company should take?

Greetings!

Thank you for your enquiry. According to your explanation, both your colleague and the mother your colleague came in contact with is negative. There is no need for other people at the company to go on self-quarantine. This is only indicated is there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 amongst your colleagues. Please do stick to proper hand hygiene and wear your face masks while in public. I hope this answers your question.
