Covid rtk test positive after quarantine

I was tested positive on 2 March through test kits
Then I quarantined from 2 March to 8 March
As I dont encounter any symptoms, I’ve also done self test kits on 8 &9 March to check my covid status at the end of my quarantine, but the self test kit still shows positive results on both days
I acknowledge officials have said it is not necessary to test after quarantine due to the viral shedding period
Thus, I would like to ask for confirmation whether I should continue self quarantine until self test kits show negative ? Or it is just a normal situation where I can return back to normal daily life ?

Hello and thank you for your question.

Based on your question, I understand your concerns. I will try to help you.

Based on your description, swab test results can be positive because the virus is still present in your body and also most individuals will still be positive when there are antibodies to the COVID-19 virus. You need to discuss with your doctor about these results for further action and we cannot give a final word based on test results alone as more information needs to be known and other factors need to be taken into account.

If you are required to quarantine, you can work from home unless your job requires you to be at work.

This is just our general description of your problem. We recommend that you see a doctor so that an examination can be done and treatment can be given to you.

You can also contact our doctor online for further information and management.

I hope this answer helps you. Thank you.
