Dizziness and lightheadedness

Hye doctor. I’ve been experiencing dizziness lately. I can’t stay in a dark room without feels dizziness+nausea… I’ve also noticed that if I close my eyes, I’m unable to stand steadily… I’m 18 btw and never had a history of chronic disease.

Based on your explanations, you are experiencing dizziness and unable to stand steadily with closed eyes. I will give related informations based on your situations.

For your information, a sense of dizziness or lightheadedness can result from:

  • Abnormally rapid breathing (hyperventilation). This condition often accompanies anxiety disorders and may cause lightheadedness.
  • Medications. Lightheadedness can be a side effect of medications.
