Im on my 34 weeks of pregnant, I started having some bubbles in my urine and swelling at my hand every morning starting from last week. Is it a symtop of preclampsia? I do not have high blood pressure or diabetes.

Hello, thank you for contacting us regarding your issue.

We understand you’re experiencing bubbly urine and swelling of your hand in the morning for about a week. We will try to help you out.

Pre-eclampsia is a hypertensive disorder in pregnancy and is characterised by high blood pressure and protein in urine. Since you do not have a high blood pressure, that makes it unlikely that you have preeclampsia. However, high blood pressure often goes unnoticed so it is best if you check with a doctor.

The symptoms you’re facing might be a part of normal physiological changes that takes place during pregnancy. However, it is also possible that it might be due to an underlying medical issue such as kidney disease or a heart problem.

We advise you to consult a doctor regarding the symptoms you’re experiencing to rule out any possible medical illness that might be causing your problem.

We hope our answer is helpful. Thank you.
