BioTest Urinary Tract Infection Test 2s
RM 11.00
The Bio Test Urinary Tract Infection test kit comprises two dip-and-read test strips for the detection of leukocytes, red blood cells, and nitrite in urine specimens to help in the diagnosis of urinary tract infection.
Bio Test Urinary Tract Infection Test benefits:
It's Simple
It's Quick
It Is Dependable
1. Prepare the urine specimen in the following manner:
2. Unpouch the strip. Familiarize yourself with the location of leukocytes, RBCs, and nitrites response areas. The light pink response region corresponds to leukocytes, the white area corresponds to nitrites, and the dark yellow area corresponds to blood. Additionally, acquaint yourself with the box's color scheme.
3. Dip the test strip in the urine for no more than 1 second, or until the reaction regions are fully submerged.
4. Remove the dipstick from the urine and tap it on the lip of the cup to remove any excess urine. Place the strip horizontally with the response regions pointing upward.
5. Allow 30-60 seconds for the response to occur.
6. Interpret the findings by comparing the response colors on the strip to those on the chart. Keep the strip horizontal when comparing to prevent any color mixing between the reaction zones on the strip.
7. Using the color table, determine the closest match in terms of hue and concentration range. A change in color that occurs just around the reaction regions' boundaries shows that the reaction did not occur correctly, and we suggest performing the test with a different strip. After 60 seconds, the results are no longer valid.

Urine test strips are special strips of paper that are used in urine dipstick test. A urine sample is collected in a container and a single test strip is dipped into the sample. Test strips used in urine dipstick will be able to test for various components such as protein, glucose, ketones, presence of blood and pH, just to name a few. Some test strips are able to show quantitative results, while some others will only show if the tested parameter is positive or negative. There are also many other different types of urine test strips such as the BioTest Urinary Tract Infection Test 2s which caters to specific needs.
The best urine samples for a urine test strip is from a clean catch, also known as midstream urine. This will require first urinating then passing the pot to collect the sample and taking the container away before the stream ends. The sample should be collected in a sterile container and there is no need to stop urinating in between. Always practice good hand-washing techniques before and after collecting and performing a urine strip test.
Urine test strips can be used as a means of screening for early identification of likely diseases, like urinary tract infection (UTI), kidney disease, diabetes, urinary tract injury, or even basic liver function, which will allow prompt investigation to reach a definitive diagnosis and further treatment as required. They are also a good tool to monitor treatment effectiveness by healthcare professionals. Urine test strips are useful for self-monitoring under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
